Dementia Carer Workshop Bulli

Thursday 9 February (9.30am – 3pm) at Bulli Community Centre, 328 Princes Hwy, Bulli NSW 2516. Register via Eventbrite: https://cw09b.eventbrite.com.au

This FREE Dementia Australia workshop aims to assist the wellbeing of the carer to ensure they can continue this role for as long as possible, while maintaining healthy practices for themselves.

During this workshop we will be focusing on:

  • Eating for Health and Wellbeing
  • Physical Wellbeing and Healthy Sleep Practices
  • Mindfulness and Meaning
  • Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing, and;
  • Seeking support beyond this workshop through other providers

This workshop also includes a follow up meeting with a Dementia Support Specialist where we can navigate further intervention and support required for each individual that attends.

We will be working together for the duration of the day to ensure that each carer walks away with a complete toolbelt that can assist in tackling the challenges that come along with the caring responsibilities. We will also work to empower each participant through strength-based practices and self-care skills that they can take home and utilise in everyday situations.

Please remember this workshop is for friend and family carers only, not those that work professionally or volunteer, therefore arrangements may need to be made for the person you care for.
