History
Dementia Illawarra Shoalhaven website began in 2011. It was first funded by a University of Wollongong Community Engagement Grant in partnership with the Illawarra Forum (now Community Industry Group) and the Illawarra Dementia Services Network (now Illawarra Dementia Interagency).
In 2014, with the support of a Global Challenges Program grant, the website grew to become a portal of key information, contacts and links for people living with dementia and their supporters in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions.
Future
We hope the website will continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of people living with dementia, their carers and health professionals.
